Off Season/School Break Camps at the Reptile Zoo
The Great Lakes Zoological Society offers fun and educational camps that are perfect for kids who love animals and the outdoors!Our camps are appropriate for children in 1st-8th grades. This day of camp is focused on fall fun festivities. We will discuss what animals do in the fall and how they prepare for winter. Our day will include a trail hike, fall crafts, hands on animal interactions, and fun outdoor games. The cost for our Fallin' for Fall Camp is $55 or $45 for GLZS members. December 29th - 31st: Winter Camp
Come warm up with the reptiles over Winter Break! Campers will participate in hands-on animal encounters, zoo keeping and educational activities, crafts and make new friendships. This camp lasts for three days and each day will have a different educational theme. You are able to sign up for all three days or each day individually. The cost for all three dates of Winter Camp is $150 or $140 for GLZS members.
January 19th: Chill Out Camp
Come meet some new friends at the zoo! We will be staying warm inside doing zoo keeping, crafts and animal presentations. In the afternoon, we will venture outside and participate in some fun winter activities and games. The cost for our Chill Out Camp is $55 or $45 for GLZS members.
January 26th: Cabin Fever Camp
Are your children sick of being cooped up inside during the winter? During our Cabin Fever Camp we will explore the outdoors and observe wildlife on a nature walk. We will warm up later with fun crafts, group games, hands on zoo keeping and hot cocoa! The cost for our Cabin Fever Camp is $55 or $45 for GLZS members.
February 16th - 20th: Midwinter Break Camp
This camp is a perfect chance for kids to learn while not in school. We will be exploring different species of animals each day. After this week children will be experts in snakes, birds, turtles/tortoises, frogs and lizards. This camp will explore learning about animals through a variety of games, crafts, presentations and animal activities. Midwinter Camp lasts for five days. The cost for Midwinter Camp is $240 or $230 for GLZS members.
March 9th: Spring into Camp
Spring is here! It is time to celebrate with a fun day at the zoo. During this day at the camp we will be decorating pots to plant our own flowers in. We will also be filling this day with many hands on animal encounters, fun outdoor games, trail time and animal crafts. The cost for our Spring into Camp day is $55 or $45 for GLZS members.
April 6th - 10th: Spring Break Camp
Spend your spring break getting hands on animal experiance! This five day camp will teach you all about animals and conservation. These camps days will be a mixture of crafts, outdoor games, trail time, hands on animal encounters, zookeeping and meeting new friends.The cost of Spring Break Camp is $240 or $230 for GLZS members.
Lunch is not supplied, however we will provide campers with nutritious snacks.
