Great Lakes Zoological Society Sponsorship Programs

Overview: Currently we offer three sponsorship programs.

1. Animal Sponsorship
2. Exhibit Sponsorship
3. Organization Wide (Corporate) Sponsorship

Each sponsorship is designed to help fund costs associated with caring for the animals at the World of Discovery and to allow us to share those animals with other people. Each year it costs the Great Lakes Zoological Society (GLZS) over $50,000 out of a $350,000 operating budget to provide direct care for the animals at the World of Discovery. This amount does not include paying any salaries such as for zookeepers or for basic over head expenses such as the lease on the building. This does provide food, water, veterinary care, and the operation of systems used to control the animals environment. The World of Discovery is on track to have over 30,000 visitors this year and expects that number to increase in the future. Join us by making a direct contribution to the sponsorship program, allowing us to continue to showcase these animals for our community. Each sponsorship is for the term of one year.

Animal Sponsorship Program

Description: The Animal Sponsorship Program is to allow members of the public to show their support for a particular animal at the zoo. The sponsorship includes getting a certificate listing your support on the exhibit at the World of discovery. The more complex the care of the animal the higher the dollar amount is to sponsor such an animal. (This sponsorship program is for individuals only).

Exhibit Sponsorship Program

Description: The Exhibit Sponsorship Program is to allow members of the public and organizations to show their support for a particular exhibit at the zoo. The sponsorship includes getting a certificate listing your support on the exhibit at the World of discovery. The more complex the care of the exhibit the higher the dollar amount is to sponsor such an exhibit.

Organization Wide Sponsorship (Corporate Sponsorship)

Description: The Organization Wide Sponsorship Program allows members of the public and organizations to show their support for the entire welfare of the zoo. Each level of sponsorship has its benefits listed below.

Flagship: ($5,000) The Flagship sponsorship level is our highest level of sponsorship and provides the following benefits: Recognition using your name in any advertising, placement of a sponsor-provided banner at the World of Discovery, Logo recognition on the website, Larger Logo as a sponsor on updated General Flyers, Logo on GLZS T-shirts, and Larger Logo on a sign in the lobby at the World of Discovery.

Executive: ($2,500) The Executive level sponsorship provides the following benefits: Recognition using your name in any advertising, placement of a sponsor-provided banner at the World of Discovery, Logo recognition on the website, Logo as a sponsor on updated General Flyers and Logo on a sign in the lobby at the World of Discovery.

Director: ($1,000) The Director level sponsorship provides the following benefits: Logo recognition on the website, Name listed as a sponsor on updated General Flyers and Logo on a sign in the lobby at the World of Discovery.

Stewardship: ($500) The Stewardship level sponsorship provides the following benefits: Name recognition on the website, Name listed as a sponsor on updated General Flyers and on a sign in the lobby at the World of Discovery.

Curator: ($250) The Curator level sponsorship provides the following benefits: Name recognition on the website and on a sign in the lobby at the World of Discovery.

The GLZS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all sponsorships are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law
