Birthday Parties at the Reptile Zoo

Have your birthday party at the World of Discovery Reptile zoo. Reserve the classroom for your party and take advantage of the optional hands-on interpretive educational animal presentation... Kids love petting the animals. Afterwards spend as much time as you like in the exhibit area viewing over 100 animals representing over 70 exotic and native reptiles, amphibians, insects, arachnids, and birds.

Pricing (memberships, coupons and special offers do not apply):

To reserve the classroom and enjoy the exhibit area (no animal presentation): Normal Zoo admission fee applies

• Ages 3-11: $5.00
• Ages 12 and Up: $7.00
• Seniors (60 and up): $5.00
• Ages 2 and under are free
• The Minimum cost is $54 (if the group is fewer than 10 people)

For an animal Presentation: Add $35.00 to the admission price

You will have the classroom reserved for 1½ hours

Times we can schedule Birthday Parties are:

• 10:00-11:30
• 12:00-1:30
• 2:00-3:30
• 4:00-5:30

If you would like to schedule a party, please tell us the:

• Date
• Time
• Grade or age of children
• Estimated number of children
• Estimated number of adults
• Name and telephone number

We recommend scheduling your party at least one week in advance for weekdays, and two weeks for weekends. Please call to check on current availability.

Feel free to arrive 15 minutes early to set up the classroom for your birthday party. Since only 30 minutes are planned between birthday parties, you may wish to plan for minimal decorating, games, and activities in the classroom. You may bring any food and non-alcoholic beverages you wish for your party. We provide two six foot tables, two four foot tables, and 25 chairs; however, please plan on bringing disposable table cloths. More tables and chairs are available if needed. You may place ice cream in our freezer in our kitchen.

At the beginning of the party, you will be provided with wristbands for your guests. This is how we keep track of the number of children, adults, and seniors. Please give the yellow wristbands to children (ages 3-11) and seniors (60+) and the green wristbands to adults (ages 12-60). If you need more wristbands in either color, please let us know and we can provide you with more. At the end of the birthday party, please give us the remaining wristbands (This is how we keep track of the number of guests, so that we can determine the price).

Once you have given your guests wristbands, invite them to look around the zoo for 15-20 minutes. Then you will have 30-40 minutes for food, presents, and any other activities. After that, we will do a hands-on presentation that features 6-8 animals.

At the end of the hour and a half, the room then becomes available for the next birthday party. You and your guests then have the opportunity to spend as much time as you would like in the exhibit area and gift shop.
